I'm just a bit nervous as I have been missing a lot of mail recently, including 2 check refunds from Amex and my wife's w-2 form ripped open, besides for all the other open mail I'm getting. Wonder if there's anything I can do.

If you live in an apartment, get your own mailbox.

All the more so. Your landlord probably won't go into your private mailbox and certainly won't if it is a locked kind. Process of elimination if any mail is opened or tampered.

It's not my landlord. I get to the mail first always, I've been there when the mail came to find envelopes opened.

I am not a lawyer, but isn't against federal law to tamper with US Postal mail? (Now don't laugh, I'm serious)...you could have someone video the scene of the mailcarrier/truck leaving and you going to the mailbox and removing your opened mail. Ok, so it's a bit time-consuming.

If you are so certain it is the mailcarrier, have you complained to postal supervisor yet?

I would love to complain to them but what proof do I have?

If it really were the mailcarrier, you most likely wouldn't be the only one this is happening to so you may not be the only one who would be complaining to the postal supervisor.
