Yeah I was wondering the same. Some of the customers probably wouldn't tell the difference between their coffees and a cup of Folgers.

Who needs coffee when you naturally can't sleep.. It seems a lot of us have that problem.

That's only at night. This thread is for those that want to stay awake during the AM hours as well.

Ehh easy. If you can't fall asleep at night, why would you fall asleep during the day. Obviously sleep at night is more important so if you can't do that why should you do the other.

If u want te best, buy a grinder and grind cofee beans everyday. After you have ur freshly grounded coffee, throw it in ur french press, add hot water. Then, wait 2-4 min depending on how heavy u want ur coffee and wala. P.s. These days i use kurig every morning for convenience

I use a stovetop percolator instead of a French press though.

Just to get back on topic. I think op's intention was, that just like there's a Meshug thread there's a non-Meshug thread. So there can be a thread for brewed-coffee drinkers and there can be a thread for non-brewed coffee drinkers.....

Starbucks is a very lucrative scam, IMHO.

But I do believe Starbucks is responsible for the renaissance of coffee drinking in the U.S. today.

You can also roast your own beans for ultimate freshness. It's a lot easier than it sounds. All you need a popcorn popper and a timer.

Help me understand you.
You drink instant 'coffee' and you are looking to find WHAT?

Real coffee tastes like real coffee. Instant is for yeshiva coffee rooms.
Buy a real coffee maker and you'll get real coffee.
Steer clear of Keurig and Starbucks.
Keurig is convenient, but the quality of the coffee is not great. (and yes some are better than others)
Starbucks is a very lucrative scam, IMHO.
I personally use a french press and it makes pretty much the best coffee I've ever tasted. (Bested only by The French Press in Lakewood. They make GREAT coffee.)
JM2C.
It depends on what you are looking for.  You obviously have very gourmet taste buds.  I agree with you that The French Press is top-notch and has very gourmet-ish coffee.  But I have been there quite a few times, and cannot find a coffee that my taste buds enjoy.  Granted, it is better than instant, but from my non-gourmet POV, I prefer the Keurig.  A real coffee gourmet would probably turn his nose up at my choice, but it is all a matter of preference.
