Not a repair question but couldn't think where else to ask: my car has just one USB port for both Android Auto/Apple car play and to use for a USB. Is there a splitter I could use to be able to use both at the same time? (For example use Waze and listen to music on a USB at the same time). Even if they can't be used simultaneously, I would still want a splitter so I could at least leave both plugged in and toggle between the two if I want.

They make a device that turns the USB port into a wireless android auto/apple. But that won't help your situation. Unless you put your music on the device you're connecting it to.

Well they have Wireless Android auto. And USB, AUX, Bluetooth.

 For someone that has android auto capability, they assume you will utilize the apps that are available using navigation.. For example amazon music you can upload your own music and play through that app.

Basically, you have to choose the way you want to connect to your car.

Right. My problem is, I have hundreds of CDs that I copied to a USB drive so I can use them in the car, but I would like to use Waze at the same time. Is there some way I could connect the USB drive to the aux port instead?

Usually, when using Waze on Apple CarPlay (I can’t speak for android users) the Bluetooth player is disabled.
They assume you’ll use the device to play music too.
If you have a kosher Waze only device, you’ll have an issue!
You can use the radio though with CarPlay, just not usb/Bluetooth. (Not sure about cd, as I don’t use them anymore!)
(Though sometimes on older model vehicles you can play music via Bluetooth while using CarPlay at the same time.)

Get an sd card and Put all the music on it.
And then play it through carplay.

Hi, I have a very small crack in my windshield. I’m afraid if left untreated it will get too big and require replacing the whole windshield. Any tips or tricks to apply to crack to prevent from spreading further?

I have an android so shouldn't be an issue. Just annoying because I want to leave the USB at all times in case my wife is driving, if it's only on my phone it won't be available then. It's annoying to have to constantly unplug the USB drive to plug my phone in

It's extra. Geico has glass coverages in NY. While in NJ they didn't offer it to me, wasnt avlb to add. So ymmv.

Yah that's odd.
 Well I'm going off geico. After they doubled my rates this past month.
2 cars, 2 drivers full coverage. Was paying 222 per month. Now they doubled it to 444. So goodbye for now. Aaa has it for 325 a month.
 Will swap to them for now.

When I am using car play (aftermarket screen) I can still play music from the cars music player, I think I can use Bluetooth but I'm not positive. But once I use any sound  through carplay(not sure what qualifies as sound, waze and apple maps don't but Siri, or music from the iPhone do) then it stops playing through the cars system.

How does your phone connect to the car? Is it wireless? Or through the USB media port?

USB. My screen actually came with 2 USB ports. Officially one is for carplay and one for android auto but I'm pretty sure you can use either one.

When I try playing music from a USB drive, it automatically plays only in alphabetical order. When I plug it in, it treats all songs as being in one playlist and plays the first song on the USB, and if I select a song through an album it plays in alphabetical order on that album. Is there a way to get it to play normally?

Anyone know how to replace the daytime running light on a 2020 Elantra? I only found 2 videos and they are not very helpful
