You get better gas mileage with 5w20 or at least that is what they say.

We just bought a old car for a spare.. car has a coolant smell (probably from a previous issue, as there isn't any current overheating problems).. from the inside of the car, kind of stuck into the seats... (Think something like tobbaco smell, just coolant)..
Any ideas to get rid of it?

Ordered the cheap ones, front rotors and pads for 100. Lets see how these work.

What motor oil is the oilem here using for oil changes, synthetic or conventional? I just learned that the place I use regularly uses recycled oil, hence his charge of just $25, but someone scared me that these cheap stuff can harm my engine. @CountValentine you seem to be the expert here.

I use whatever the manufacture calls for and is on sale. Usually stock up Black Friday with the rebates.
Now with no kids home, 2 cards and one car gets free oil changes for 3 years I won't be buying much.

Curios to know which shop you're talking about to avoid it.

But if you're looking to buy your own oil and put it in yourself or have someone.

I've been buying Mobil1 Advanced full synthetic oil for $24 with a Rebate of $15 per bottle up to $30 meaning two bottles at $48 and then $30 rebate back, so at $18 for two bottles. And a filter I got at walmart together with the bottles.

$9 a bottle of mobile 1 full synthetic oil is a fantastic price.

The rebate was around for 52 weeks. Though a new one comes and goes.

Just bought 8 bottles with 8 rebates at different family members hone addresses.

indeed, helping a friend replace his front rotors and pads. Autozone wanted 55$ for pads and $66 for each rotor.
$187 + tax. Yes they have a 20% coupon but only for delivery, otherwise I need to buy each part separately with a $10 off a $50 purchase.

Though he wants the job done asap, so not much of a choice.

Are they Ceramic pads?
