I had my tires rotated and aligned. Now I feel a slight rumble when I drive. Can it be that the wear patterns are just different and will wear to a quieter ride?

Yup, it will go away soon.

Costco vs. Mavis for tires:

Cost is about the same (after Costco $150 off a set of 4).

Mavis is much more convenient for me and the tires are better (Michelin Defender) vs. what Costco has (Michelin Primacy).

Costco has terrible waits but they stand behind their products. Officially offer free road hazard protection, but I don't know if it's something I'd use (I don't have all day to wait for a patch, and they also only replace tires in pairs).

Both offer free rotations (Mavis is free even for non-customers, but that's not something I would do).

Am I missing anything else?

After buying from Costco many times because of real or imagined benefits, I tend to agree with you. They don't win on price. Service appointments are hard to schedule and take much too long (years ago I could shop while I waited but the wait is much too long now). I'd rather do a patch myself than bring it in and wait (goes for any place), plus half the time the technicians refuse to do patches and insist that the tire is not repairable. I view the road hazard warranty as unusable/low-value and would buy from the place with the lowest price for good quality tires next time

I hope it does, but I wouldn't be so sure.

Does it go away at different speeds? Is it rumble "noise"?

Vibration can very well be tread wear or not balanced properly.
Not sure about the noise.

I'm hoping it's tread wear and not a balance issue since i just had it aligned. is balance something they would check too?

If they aligned your front end, I assumed they balanced the tires.
ETA: Both have the same symptoms.

For your tires the Mavis makes sense but I'm sure you are aware that  some of the chains make money by offering services you may not need on other parts.

Car overheats when idling with the AC on.
However when I am actually driving the car, even if it's for hundreds of miles at a time with the AC running, it doesn't overheat.
It looks like the main fan is working.
Is it the water pump?
A new radiator cap (~$13) fixed the whole issue.

Replaced a timing chain and support items on a 2012 Kia. Massive job but not as difficult as I thought. My neighbor talked me into doing it. Saved my daughter around 1.5k.

I am to old for this stuff.  :-[
Had to replace it again. Could have done it with my eyes closed.  :)

Yes, she told me she was buying a new car so I didn't replace the two CVVT (intake/exhaust). The chain is getting chewed up by the worn teeth on them. The two of them are about $450.

This time the chain will probably last 6 months but not much more.

We are car shopping now and everything is 3-5k over list.  >:( >:( >:(

Blower rattling then working intermittently and now not working at all. I'm assuming motor is dead. 2004 Avalon swap out looks pretty easy.

Camry 2009. Replaced Radiator in February (was acting up for a little while, no heat except when accelerating, coolant leaking, eventually overheated and wouldn't start).

Just started leaking again and heat isn't working (except when accelerating).

Bad luck? Or is something causing the Radiator to fail, leak etc?

Anyone knows roughly how much it would cost to get a minivan painted to a different color?
