Any thoughts about purchasing these pair of pads for $88 After 20% off.
Vs buying the standard ceramic pads for $30-$50?

Yes the $119 pads are galvanized which would make it last longer, being able to withstand the salt and bad weather without it becoming rusted, and supposedly better braking, less dust..
But curios what people do here?

Vs the standard from Amazon or AutoZone.

I use Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic Disc Brake Pads. Have had great results with them. The issue is the rotor. Which one do you buy?

And you buy those pads where?

Good question as well. Wouldn't know where to start.

Usually get great deals at Advance Auto with up to 50% off coupons. Also Pepboys (not sure if they are national) has sales all the time. Don't forget CB sites that have up to 20% CB.

And you live in Poland! Lol.

Will take a peak. Thanks
Once I know the type of brakes I want and then I can start shopping around for the best price.
Do you also use copper based Andi seize and silcone, thread locker ,wire brush to remove the rust ,break cleaner, and a torque wrench to tighten to the correct specs?

Anti-seize, yes.
Wire brush will not remove all the rust. It just removes the surface rust. You need to see bare metal when you are done. Small Dremel grinding wheel works great. Getting the pads to move freely is the most important step.

Is it really off importance to measure the thickness of the rotors or as long as there's a smooth surface I should just leave them?

If you are going to use the same rotors you should have them turned down. They could be warped and you would not know it.

if it's a smooth surface and it looks even, why would it be worped?
By visually inspecting them you should be able to see if they're warped.

I heard that's a thing of the past turning down your rotors.

if you're hesitant that I change them, what rotors you recommending?

If you can tell by looking at them that they are warped then you are superman.  :)
It is hard to find anyone to turn rotors because of the economics. There is those believe that the new rotors are to thin and should not be turned.
For my brake jobs I just replace rotors and pads now. The OEM rotors these days last about as long as the pads. I have not tried the high performance expensive ones.

Where to find the specs for how thick the rotor should be?

I don't remember off hand, is it that the car needs the rotots to be x in thickness or is it the rotors themselves need to be x in thickness so the pads don't cause...?

Will do. Thanks.

Will probably bleed the brakes as well while I'm at it, and check the emergency brake to make sure it's holding.

Bleeding is a good idea especially with a soft peddle. Make sure to use a 6 point socket/wrench and not a 12 point.
Be carful with emergency brakes on old cars. Pads like to fall off the backing.  :)

That's one big difference with the NRS pads, how they're held to the backing plate.
Which makes them less likely to separate from its backing plate, which would be the cause for replacement pads.

Are the emergency pads/shoes made the same way?

When buying a new oil filter after completing an oil change which one works best?

Being that I'm going to use Mobile-1, one of these two.
Shall i stick with that filter as well.
