But you would be surprised how many people have luxury cars which requires premium, or rather the manufacturer recommends it and they cheap out on the gas.

I wonder if there was any surveys done with two the same vehicles using two different graded gasoline, and what the outcome was?

There is a lot of info out there on cars where the manufacturer recommends to use premium.

No, just have it done at a reputable mechanic, not those chain oil change places that are just trying to rip you off. My mechanic charges $25.

Chain places are ok. Just make sure you check they put the oil plug back in and the filter on. Also that they are both tight.

At high speeds on a Sienna I am getting a traction control warning when accelerating (you may have gotten such an alert when your in a skid on ice). I seem to have full control though, can this be false? Bad sensors etc

How are your tires?
ETA: There are wheel sensor that usually are for both traction and ABS.

Tires are good. This is even on dry roadway.

Anyone here know about tires?

Living in YYZ, I just got new winter tires as it's my first winter with my current car. My all seasons were 225/45/R17 and based on my mechanic's advice I went down to 195/65/R15 which have the same exact diameter. Thing is that my steering now feels much less accurate, especially at highway speed- it's a struggle to keep it going straight, the steering just seems to wander and it feels very unstable overall.

Is this due to the new tire size? The 2" drop in wheel size? The 1.2" drop in tire width? (From 8.9" down to 7.7")

Any suggestions?

Hit a row of unmarked speed bumps at like 40-50. Didn’t bottom out. What are the chances I messed up something in my car? ‘18 Avalon.

There's a slight chance, but if you don't hear it or feel anything wrong. I wouldn't worry.

It seems like I spend so much on plugging up holes or replacing tires here in lkwd ( a lot of nails around!).

Are there tires that are better equipped or meant to withstand nail punctures etc....?
