1) If I had Amazon Prime for a year (free) because of an .edu email addy, can I get it for a year free now with this Amex offer?

2) If I cancel my card in a month, can I still keep the free Prime?

Thanks
1) Yes. 2) Yes.

They don't give you the Amazon prime if you've had it in the past (for whatever reason.) You will have to make a new account.

Bump

You do pay the $75 for first year, but there is also signup bonus +SBS +Amazon $25's, and you can get 2*360 for 1 fee as the $6000 cap is per calendar year and annual fee is the other kind of year...

Couldn't find any..

I read the terms and drew my own conclusions based on the fine print. What I am asking for is what you know based on experience.

Which of the following earns 3%?
  • Gas paid for at the pump
  • Gas paid for inside
  • Gas bought from a supermarket (1%, 3%, or 6%?)
  • Other items purchased inside at a gas station (snacks, soda, etc.)
  • Gift cards purchased inside at a gas station (One Vanilla, etc.)

Hi guys, does anyone know how long after meeting minimum spending will the signup bonus be posted? I recall that Amex usually posts the bonus 1-2 days after the threshold transaction posted, but I haven't seen the $150 sign-up yet.

It posts after the first statement closes and gets paid.

To clarify, it posts on the statement after you paid off your first statement...
That's on the BCP.

Agreed - that would be my best guess

Maybe. Not sure. I wouldn't think cb would be different from the bonus but maybe it is.

After I paid off the first statement the bonus wasn't posting so I called and they told me it would go onto the next statement.

For CB on my bc

your first statement must close
your first statement must be paid - eta, actually not sure about that
your following statement must close (but doesn't have to be paid)
1 or 2 business days must pass

The bonus doesn't come as CB dollars, it just posts as a statement credit.

That is now clear. So it is the same as CB (posting) as RB3 (new nic  :) ) stated.
