I was approached to rent my car to someone by the hour or by day. What is a fair price by hour and day? Its an old clunker, but works fine. (Not as a business, just occasionally) thx

Not worth to rent out IMO. If its a friend that wants to borrow it then lend it to them.

If CV there is an accident it could get sticky

My father wont touch someone elses car or even let me touch someone elses car... he has way to many stories with noises...

don't think your insurance will cover if your renting it out. If your engine were to die do you really think the person will pay you 2k?

How will insurance find out? Dont ask dont tell...
Plus the engine is as likely to blow on me as on him so either way ill be out an engine if its gonna blow...

Not really. If you see a check engine light go on, on YOUR car while YOUR driving it. you worry. if it goes on while HES driving it... he'll let you worry about it too.

That's for new honda accords, with an 02 I'd say minus half

True, most are newer cars. So maybe. But regardless of condition, I don't think anyone would rent out their car for $5 an hour or $20 for the day.
Unless the Guest is covered under insurance and their hoping to file a claim.

When I need a car for an hour or so I wouldn't really care how old the car is.

lol, $20 a day not worth the headache of insurance but $50 makes it worth the headache?
