Intel 802.11ac VS 802.11b/g/n Network port
« on: April 17, 2016, 08:06:29 PM »
I'm in the process of purchasing a Laptop and i have a option of getting the standard 802.11b/g/n Network port or upgrading to the 802.11ac for a extra $30.

My question is, is it worth for a average person/home to purchase the upgrade and also I've read that even if i do get the 802.11ac, it's not necessarily going to work faster because it also depends on the internet provider....true?

Please advise

Thanks

It depends on whether your router will support a/c. It is significantly faster, if your router supports it.
