Can anyone provide an update as to how they feel about the S5?
I have the S3 - love it.
I am due for an upgrade and trying to figure out if this is the way to go or if there is another phone that would be more impressive.

I'm on Sprint. Went from the s3 to the s5. I love the phone but Sprint is ruining the experience somewhat. Due to the fact that you can't use data and phone simultaneously unless you're on Wi-Fi. Also because of their new and "work in progress" spark network it doesn't reliably switch well from 3g to lte even when there is lte and it would switch to it on the s3. So if these things don't really matter...The phone is amazing. Beautiful screen, water resistant, amazing battery life, and no lag. It's big compared to the s3 but I got used to it. But I wasn't able to use the case that I ordered because that made it just too big. So I'm "caseless" for now.

I had a Droid maxx hd and loved it but this phone is even better. The battery is surprisingly great. The phone runs and processes applications very smoothly and the camera is superb.
Do you need any more than that from a phone?

Seriously? You can't use data (obviously 4g) while on the phone?

Unfortunately yes I'm serious. The social media is busy with this issue and many Sprint customers either returned the phone or switched carriers because of this issue. For me it's not that big a deal because I have  in general Wi-Fi access. But imagine using the phone as a hotspot and getting interrupted by text messages and phone calls, and your data keeps on being interrupted...

Have you noticed (what I believe to be) the HD voice and the way it sounds?

Didn't realize that but what I can say about sound quality on the phone is, that IMHO the sound quality was better on the s3. The speaker phone quality was definitely better on the s3 where I was able to converse on speaker without the other party realizing a difference. On the s5 when I talk on speaker the other party has difficulty hearing me at times.

the speaker on the s5 is in a terrible place in my opinion. When you're holding the phone it blocks the speaker. Its really annoying

Isn't it also annoying that they're isn't a gps toggle in the settings like by s3. In order to use Waze etc. you need to go to settings-location-mode and then choose high accuracy mode. But I don't want to keep it on high accuracy all day because I want to conserve battery, but I still want "location" on for apps to get my location from the towers. But I don't think that's an s5 thing. I think it's a Kit Kat limitation.

You would only hear it like that sometimes, depending on who you are talking to and if they have an HD compatible Sprint Device.

That's not handled like this:
  ??
That's to toggle location in general. But on the s3 I always had what is called now "power savings mode". That allows apps like weather or maps to know where you are from cell towers and Wi-Fi. Then on top of that there was a gps toggle which I quickly toggled when I needed it for navigation. Now if I want power saving mode on all the time which means that the location toggle is lit there is no quick way to toggle on only the GPS and you need to do the four step directions mentioned earlier, which isn't great when you're driving and decide that you want to use GPS!

I have 5 email addresses each with contacts that sync to my phone. Is there a way to have all the contacts be imported to my phones contacts? I would like to have a single address-book across all my devices, contacts lists, outlook etc.
