Delta Ecertificate
« on: February 04, 2014, 10:27:24 PM »
I have a delta e-cert that will expire in 1 month. I was told (by friends) if I book a refundable ticket with it and cancel it, I would get it back with the expiration a year later.
I called delta to ask them if this was true and they told me it is not true.
Anybody have previous experience with this, or can offer me advice on how to utilize it without flying?
Thank you very much!!!

I cant answer your question but I what I can tell you is that asking that to a rep AND believing him/her is From the most fundamental mistakes in this game

Anyone do this? Have 3 vouchers expiring which are not transferrable at all (I tried) and they are not even able to use them together...Ridiculous.

It doesn't help to HUCA this. It is built into the E-cert and going from rep to rep can not change that.

M   I have 9 e-certs all under different first names -all in the same family with a 1 yr exp and was told the same thing when there were issued
- but later told during the long conversation by the supervisor who issued them-if you ask for a supervisor, they would combine the e-certs or slightly extend the exp date--of course you may have to HUCA more than a few times till you get the desired result.....
Don't know if
Code: [Select]

RavKahaneTzadak is right-but I would certainly keep trying.
I plan on doing the same when I have to .

The amount in the certs do expire, and when you try to rebook they can do it for you, but it will take them a long time.
Had similar experience and was on the phone for about an hour, but in the end they did it for me.

Combined them? Or extended them?

Whats with the booking a refundable ticket idea?
