AA saver award SPECIAL! 10k from LA to NYC

I just searched for an award flight on AA.com and it's showing a special of 10k for LA to NYC during the next 3 days. Not sure if this is a common thing....

As well as ORD. Seems that the special is flights to/from LAX.

I don't think this is such a great deal. Isn't it usually 12.5k to LAX? Besides, you could get one way to LAX for about $150, like on Virgin recently. ??? Am I wrong?

you are right, however, from other markets other than NYC, it could be $350 one way.. with stops.. so this rate it great!

Booked for tonight for 25k from lax to JFK a few days ago. Any way to change that and get 5k back without PUTPAC?
