The hardware would need to be able to do that. I wonder how long 'til they build phones with that capability...

That is not true as u can make an app for that with the vibrations of a phone as that guy in shark tank did to turn the phone by itself

Good idea but should take into account all possible vestos according to all shitos.
And it also must be very reliable.
It can notify you "today is a vest according to the xyz, you can opt to ignore/change settings". There too many shittos and variables to have an app "for litvaks".

You can have it in the settings to check off which ones you follow and which you don't, like the Chabad one.

That's what I meant. I was thinking of this Windows program. It has a bunch of checkboxes where you can pick the shitos you want.

I didn't mean to rely on completely, but it would come in handy for checking the dates when you're not home.

Yup. The only thing I don't like about it is that my posek told me that there's no combining of chumras, for example there's no Ohr Zarua before the 31st day onah beinonis, and this program has no way to disable that. Otherwise it's great, and I would love to have something like it on my phone.

I hear, also many chumras change based on whether its a kovuah or not..you can ignore the program...  

(btw the 31st day or zoruah is also probably the kreisi. Still, many say no chumras on chumras etc)

Well, kavuah nowadays is uncommon, but I assume it wouldn't show those chumras.
CMIIW, but it would only be the same as the kreisi if the onah was by day.
But maybe we should move this discussion to the halacha thread.

Because things are more random these days, it's very common for one of the 'weird' Kavu'ahs to pop up, that's where these programs really come in handy, they find all the uncommon Kavu'as that you may not even know to look for.

I just found Romantimatic. Unfortunately, it's only for iOS.

I'd think that there would be an abilitiy to send pre-timed texts.

i.e. send to wife Text #1 at 9:48am
      send Text #2 at 2:04pm
      send Text #3 at 5:52 pm

(however, if there are lots of questions and answers in between, then text #2 may sound funny if it starts with, "since it's been a while...."

those wont tell you of the bus hits traffic and isnt coming for ten minutes even though they are 2 blocks away
im thinking something that is connected to the bus with real time traffic like waze that sends you a text when the bus is five minutes out

The bus company would have to install GPS trackers in all the busses, as well as a backend to make the info available.
