On a domestic ticket, e.g. LAX-NYC, if it would cost the same for economy direct or business with a stopover (say 1-1.5 hours) which would you take?

ok obviously every case is different, but in general i dont feel its worth the stop/time on a domestic flight for that added comfort.
versus international which is a long trip to start with, usually, assuming its a normal airline, i would prefer biz
to each their own....

772 and 752s have a good shot at being lie-flat.

 over the yrs as a CO Plat I found those flights flying with the Intl cabins the hardest to get Upgraded on under the EUA system, seems they were filled with people connecting from or to an Intl flight and if they were on a Biz tkt to wherever they usually ended up getting that Biz seat on the domestic flight as well


 I was able to score it a couple of times to Florida , but missed it more then I got it yes even to Florida, was never successful to/from IAH no matter the type of equipment

EWR-LAX is probably the 2nd or 3rd hardest upgrade in the CO system along with EWR-IAH and EWR-SFO.

EWR-CLE-LAX is a much much easier EUA.  ONT-IAH is also a very easy EUA.

 Correct no free rides on UAs p.s. flights, thats where I use my CR1s (Regionals) only 1 time did I not clear out of countless flights

 EWR-LAX or SFO Forgetaboutit!
