Did you get a booking?
Is it worth it - since it is not on the beach?
Are all bookings for a 3 bedroom suite?

of course it's worth it for $12 per night - no matter what room or how many bedrooms..

I'm laughing bec while it's funny to think of sharing a 5 hour plane ride with a number of delta "glitchees",
however, sharing 3 nights at a Cancun hotel with a bunch of 'glitchees' is a whole new experience! (still lots of fun, but another level!)

Not necessarily. Cancun is quite the journey. Reviews on this place seem far from stellar and in fact I've seen the regular rate at about $70. If that's the case this place may not be worth the trip. Several posters on DDMS have their trips very soon so I hope I hear from them about their trip and I'll decide accordingly.

true, but once you are in Cancun, there are also lots of other great spots to visit, etc....

where do you see bad reviews?

And $70 for a 2 bedroom is probably what you saw.

So here's the question, (assuming this fare will be honored) if I made a booking but wrote 2 guest, can I bring 4-6 guests without updating the booking/paying extra fees?

If it's a 3 bedroom reservation, then I'd think it's allowed!

The 2 of you will check in. Whoever comes and visits can obviously sleep in the other rooms. Making sure there are additional towels, etc.. would be helpful.

Also, if concerned, you can probably call the hotel directly in a week and ask them if there would be another charge added to your room if 4 more people came.
If they say that it's no extra charge, then you're all set!

if everyone's calling now and all the customer service people are busy,
and then because of all the questions, they see the 'typo' and want to invalidate all the reservations from the past 24 hours,
then I'd highly suggest that people not keep calling them. Enjoy the $12 per night for 3 br. in Cancun.

anybody hear anything else on this? I talked to orbitz today and they said booking is valid and the hotel has confirmed the reservations. I have two one in Aug and one in Nov

Anyone been to the property on the $7 deal? My reservation is in Oct, and I"m looking to book flights/make plans... I don't want to call ahead to verify, but comments about people getting turned away at the door have me spooked. Any reports??

Seems like some people have been.. check the comments section of the main DD post, scroll to the bottom. There was also a comment that noted that they had trouble getting the rate honored. Basically, confirm the reservation with Orbitz and perhaps with BTS

Same as other posters, booked for November. Not comfortable crossnig my fingers and hoping I get there and its honored. Any suggestions?
