How late can you get to the airport

I see today a lot of people are discussing about someone that was not allowed on a flight since they arrive after 30 Minutes before the flight. Can someone clarify.
1) if I checked in online the night before, does that still apply
2) if I checked in the night before online and arrive with no luggage can I arrive 1 minute before the flight.
3) Does going through security (They make you show your boarding pass) does that have to be 30 minutes before (assuming I as I wrote before that I checked in online, and I have no luggage)

If you check in in advance you are good as long as you arrive at the gate prior to the plane leaving. However that often happens before the time stated on your ticket

they don't, but after standing in the luggage check-in line for over 90 minutes,
 I've had to show them a boarding pass for 20-30 minutes in advance of departure to get ahead/in front in security.
(i.e. just because SW decided to have only 2 luggage curbside check-in at LAX when there are 10 empty desks,
   resulting in literally 90+ minutes of snaking up and down the outdoor lines,
   it was their company's luggage wait time, I've told them at that point we need to go to the front of security.)

You show them your boarding pass and they will let you ahead... of course, YMMV..

I recently go to the airport less than 30 min before the flight and the kiosk check in didn't work.  we went to the desk (b"H no line) and the lady found our reservation.  When she confirmed that we had no luggage, she worked on the computer a bit and printed out our boarding passes.
Then she walked us to the TSA. front of the line. and told us to run when we were through.  We got into our seats 10 min before take off time.

I've flown from San Diego one time I pulled up to terminal 20min before checked in
LGA-YYZ last flight also same thing it was off peak

Did you do an online check in before you came to the airport, and did you have any uggage

TLV if you come late there is no one even to talk to except maybe El Al. All other airlines leave their check in counters and you can't do anything.

Keep in mind - that planes could close the door before departure time. Especially early morning flights.

I waited last time on line and got to the counter at 6:16 my flight was on 7 and they didn't let me check in any luggages.

that may depend on the airport, some airports have automated baggage delivery via conveyor belt.
Perhaps those permit under 45 minutes.

Yes, each place different -- it may even depend on the curbside check-in policy and the attendant that day. There and also at the inside counter..

We were running super late to a flight this morning and we checked in our bags 17 minutes before departure. Not only did we make the flight, so did our bags. And we went through security with a baby, stroller, car seat, and liquids. Definitely an Adar thing
