I'm not sure if you caught my point.
I'm not suggesting that it would be hard to do the spending /get the points, I'm saying it might not be safe walking down the street with that sort of cash.

Understood. Day One, go to Lowe's with $10k to pay for ovens and carpets,
Day Two, Lowe's with $10K in gcs
and Day Three another $10K.
A nice laptop bag should hold it - Gets him some great airfare and a couple weeks of hotels..

I have friends who've had $7k in VR until arriving home. Small and Lightweight.
That couple (he wrote on ddf) walked out of the LA cvs together with $10K in VR. That's a lot more liquid than a bunch of Lowe's GCs.
It's hopefully not out of a locked car/ public building for more than 5 minutes....

Because you get 1.5 PPD.
You're better off with Fidelity Amex 2% cash back on everything

At today's rate you might be right, as 1.5 X 1.2 = 1.8 PPD, but in the good old days it was a no brainer: 1.5 X 1.65 = 2.475 PPD.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.
