Evolve Money – Online billpay service

Pay bills from Evolve’s list of payees, including mortgage, utilities, insurance and “store” credit card, e.g., Macy’s, Gap, Walmart (but NOT regular credit cards or store co-branded CC, like a Walmart Discover or BR Visa).

If a particular biller is not listed, you can try emailing Evolve to add it. They seem to respond quite quickly to inquiries, and they will ask you to send a copy of your bill. Some people have had success in seeing their billers added. The billers need to agree to be a part of some kind of Mastercard processing consortium, which may or may not work for you billers.

Daily dollar limits include:

$2,999.00 in payments, of which up to $999.00 may be funded by cash load packs
Individual bill pay dollar limits include:

$2,999.00 for a single bill funded by a debit card and/or credit card
$999.00 for a single bill funded by a cash load pack
Note: You cannot make more than $10,000 worth of payments per month for credit, debit, and cash load packs.

Monthly payment limits include:

4 payments per month per biller account number using a credit or debit card within the dollar limits listed above.
Unlimited number of payments per month per biller account number using a cash load pack within the dollar limits listed above.

Check with your bank whether they accept partial payments and payments made over a couple of days. (Paying over weekend might arrive on same day.) You will also want to be in touch with your bank the first month you do this to make sure that the payments don't automatically apply to principal, or that your automatic payment (if you have one) doesn't ALSO get taken out. Don't assume that your bank will handle everything perfectly without your involvement, and - especially the first month - make sure you have all payments in with a few days to spare at least so that they can sort it out without also having to worry that the payment will be late.

You can pay bills for no fee with REloadIt packs that can be purchased, Evolve Money credits and with a debit card from "major banks". There are reports that US Bank issued MGCs work fee free as well. Each card counts as one payment toward the four payment limit.

For a 3% fee you can pay with a Visa, MC and Discover CCs.

In the past there was a glitch and certain CCs did work. But after this was publicized, the glitch was closed.

How
Sign up.
Add new bill.
Then pay with a ReLoadit packs, debit, prepaid(?) or Gift Card(?).

Yes. But don't think even for a second it being posted here had anything to do with its demise.

Wow and what's nuts is that his response to all this is that he will just reveal all MS tips in a free widely distributed newsletter. Seriously?  >:(

You misunderstood. Our friend accused me of letting the cat out of the bag. I may have, but it was after DOC's article.

Most deals are killed by a cumulative effect.

Agreed. I take full responsibility for updating the Wiki with the DOC info, at least a week after he posted it...which means anyone could have changed it if they were so outraged. The effect DDFers had on this (i.e. the people that didnt know about US Bank issued MGC before the Wiki was updated) IMHO was negligible.

You can do that. But according to the Evolve Money User Agreement section V. m., you're not allowed to.

Just be aware that some merchants may decline the charge if it's an overpayment and push the money back to Evolve.

Why would you with the 3% charge? What benefit are you going to get by paying 3%?

Just got this email, doesnt change my life in the least:

"Dear Valued Customer,

Evolve Money was launched in early 2014 as a whole new way for consumers to pay their bills. Thousands of people have enjoyed the benefits of fast, convenient bill payments from any device. However, the payments landscape has changed dramatically and with it, our focus as a business.

Sadly, that means ending the Evolve Money service effective February 1, 2016.

Key Details:

Beginning February 1, 2016 you will no longer be able to submit payments using Evolve Money.
Any payments currently scheduled for delivery on or after February 1, 2016 will NOT be processed.
Cash Payments:
Beginning January 16, 2016 you will no longer be able to use REloadit or Evolve Pay Bucks Load Packs, which are identified as "Cash" as a payment source.
If you have credits remaining in your account because of prior Load Pack usage you MUST redeem them prior to February 1, 2016.
After February 1, 2016, you will still be able to access your Evolve Money account to review your payment history but you will be unable to make payments.
We would like to thank you for your support of Evolve Money these past two years. We realize this may pose an inconvenience and our Customer Support team is available to assist you at support@evolvemoney.com.

The Evolve Money Team"
