Evolve Money – Online billpay service

Pay bills from Evolve’s list of payees, including mortgage, utilities, insurance and “store” credit card, e.g., Macy’s, Gap, Walmart (but NOT regular credit cards or store co-branded CC, like a Walmart Discover or BR Visa).

If a particular biller is not listed, you can try emailing Evolve to add it. They seem to respond quite quickly to inquiries, and they will ask you to send a copy of your bill. Some people have had success in seeing their billers added. The billers need to agree to be a part of some kind of Mastercard processing consortium, which may or may not work for you billers.

Daily dollar limits include:

$2,999.00 in payments, of which up to $999.00 may be funded by cash load packs
Individual bill pay dollar limits include:

$2,999.00 for a single bill funded by a debit card and/or credit card
$999.00 for a single bill funded by a cash load pack
Note: You cannot make more than $10,000 worth of payments per month for credit, debit, and cash load packs.

Monthly payment limits include:

4 payments per month per biller account number using a credit or debit card within the dollar limits listed above.
Unlimited number of payments per month per biller account number using a cash load pack within the dollar limits listed above.

Check with your bank whether they accept partial payments and payments made over a couple of days. (Paying over weekend might arrive on same day.) You will also want to be in touch with your bank the first month you do this to make sure that the payments don't automatically apply to principal, or that your automatic payment (if you have one) doesn't ALSO get taken out. Don't assume that your bank will handle everything perfectly without your involvement, and - especially the first month - make sure you have all payments in with a few days to spare at least so that they can sort it out without also having to worry that the payment will be late.

You can pay bills for no fee with REloadIt packs that can be purchased, Evolve Money credits and with a debit card from "major banks". There are reports that US Bank issued MGCs work fee free as well. Each card counts as one payment toward the four payment limit.

For a 3% fee you can pay with a Visa, MC and Discover CCs.

In the past there was a glitch and certain CCs did work. But after this was publicized, the glitch was closed.

How
Sign up.
Add new bill.
Then pay with a ReLoadit packs, debit, prepaid(?) or Gift Card(?).

It would be easier for me to do it this way for a WF mortgage.  Based upon some research, I figured out how to do it and I need multiple Evolve accounts.
We have WF mortgage, too. Will look into that. (Lucky you. Big house; great cc threshold bonus ability.)

Big mortgage does not automatically equal big house.  If only.

the hold on my GC from 4/30 was taken off today.

when I pay WF mortgage the system doesn't mind partial payments. when they add up to the monthly payment amount, then the system changes the partial payments into the monthly payment, anything above the payment amount becomes a principal payment

Do any of these banks mind if the mortgage is paid from an Evolve account belonging to someone else?
I don't think so. CMIIW, but I don't think bank ever knows whose evolve account payment came from.
As far as multiple accounts, I'm not sure if Evolve's issue is someone having multiple accounts himself or paying a particular payee through multiple accounts. I paid through 2, but one was my wife. You can probably pay over weekend with your wife's account so you wouldn't need more than 2 accounts.

Not sure if this can help...  I sent  a payment last night (after midnight) and it is set to be delivered on 5/13. I made another payment this morning to the same vendor and it is set to be delivered on 5/12....if we can replicate this, we can pay more than 1000 to the same vendor on the same day

Hi. I apologize in advance if this was already addressed and ask if someone could point me in the right direction. Does it make sense to max out my ink credit to stock up on staples GCs and then use evolve to pay back the CC? Is it worth the 5x miles at the $6 GC fee? Thanks!

Yes.  And don't forget to register for Visa Savings Edge to save the 1%.

Oh sorry, I didn't read the part about paying CC's.  I mean paying bills and mortgages.

Hi -

Are there any concerns with the safety of going through Evolve. If it doesn't have FDIC insurance, can't your funds simply 'dissapear'?

If we like several things better from Bluebird, then is it possible if we all email Customer Service that they'll allow online OV, and other financial uploads?

Has anyone had success asking them to add billers?  My student loan servicer is not on the list.  (bec I refinanced, see http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=38001.0)

They are actually unbelievably responsive - like, within 30 min, you should have an email back, either pointing you to the name of your biller, or asking you for information so that they can verify and add.
