Evolve Money – Online billpay service

Pay bills from Evolve’s list of payees, including mortgage, utilities, insurance and “store” credit card, e.g., Macy’s, Gap, Walmart (but NOT regular credit cards or store co-branded CC, like a Walmart Discover or BR Visa).

If a particular biller is not listed, you can try emailing Evolve to add it. They seem to respond quite quickly to inquiries, and they will ask you to send a copy of your bill. Some people have had success in seeing their billers added. The billers need to agree to be a part of some kind of Mastercard processing consortium, which may or may not work for you billers.

Daily dollar limits include:

$2,999.00 in payments, of which up to $999.00 may be funded by cash load packs
Individual bill pay dollar limits include:

$2,999.00 for a single bill funded by a debit card and/or credit card
$999.00 for a single bill funded by a cash load pack
Note: You cannot make more than $10,000 worth of payments per month for credit, debit, and cash load packs.

Monthly payment limits include:

4 payments per month per biller account number using a credit or debit card within the dollar limits listed above.
Unlimited number of payments per month per biller account number using a cash load pack within the dollar limits listed above.

Check with your bank whether they accept partial payments and payments made over a couple of days. (Paying over weekend might arrive on same day.) You will also want to be in touch with your bank the first month you do this to make sure that the payments don't automatically apply to principal, or that your automatic payment (if you have one) doesn't ALSO get taken out. Don't assume that your bank will handle everything perfectly without your involvement, and - especially the first month - make sure you have all payments in with a few days to spare at least so that they can sort it out without also having to worry that the payment will be late.

You can pay bills for no fee with REloadIt packs that can be purchased, Evolve Money credits and with a debit card from "major banks". There are reports that US Bank issued MGCs work fee free as well. Each card counts as one payment toward the four payment limit.

For a 3% fee you can pay with a Visa, MC and Discover CCs.

In the past there was a glitch and certain CCs did work. But after this was publicized, the glitch was closed.

How
Sign up.
Add new bill.
Then pay with a ReLoadit packs, debit, prepaid(?) or Gift Card(?).

OK
So there's nothing new here, except the speed at which they give you the warning.
You're still free to pay other billers - each with 4 payments.

side note: I'm having a really hard time getting $500 GCs.  So I may end up only paying $800 of my mortgage with Evolve.   :(
All my other payees are under $800, so I can pay in full.

But four is allowed, right? Why would they need to email you that you are locked until the next month? Just decline further payments to the same account - if they like, with a notice that you have already used up your four monthly payments to that account?
It would be nicer if they sent email you reached monthly limit, or just block further payments, but this is how they do it. Making 4 payments triggers email and monthly lockdown.

I am new to Giftcardmall. Had bought vanilla cards at local CVS when one could still buy them using CC. I dont see vanilla cards on Giftcardmall, but do see other visa cards. Giftcardmall charges 3.95 for activation and another 2 bucks to cover security/shipping, so a fee of 5.95. How are you liquidating these cards, Evolve only (I have still to open up Evolve, just started reading about it), or can it loaded on BB too? I think I read somewhere that Walmart has pretty much killed BB loading, is that true?

Anything else that I need to know about Evolve before opening an account there and ordering from Giftcardmall?

Thanks in advance.

'Vanilla' cards can't be loaded to BB anymore.
These cards can.  Some WMs are giving people a hard time, but loading these 'debit cards' onto BB is within WM policy.
They can also easily be used on Evolve.
Buying GCs at $5.95 for a $500 card, is a cost of [5.95/506=.0117] 1.1+ cents per point.  If you can buy GCs at a place that your cc gets more than 1 ppd (point per dollar) you lower your cost.  ie Ink card at Staples (office supply store).  $6.95 fee for a $200 GC.  But at 5 ppd that's [ 6.95/1035=.00671] .6+ cents per point. That's half a penny different per point.

When ordering from GCM, get a design that does not say 'GIFT CARD' all over it.

Thanks a lot.

How easy is it to use these cards on Evolve? I think I read somewhere (trying to learn so much, so getting confused) that people were getting banned from Evolve too? Or it was due to trying to pay same biller more than 4 times allowed per month by opening different accounts?

How easy is it to load these gift cards on BB at WM? Any special trick to load, like hitting cancel button immediately after swiping the card?

Thanks once again.

Thanks for a good suggestion. I am guessing as long as it says Debit, we should be good, correct?

Any place to get cashback on GCM purchases? I am hoping for a Yes, but wouldn't be surprised if it is NO :)

When ordering from GCM, get a design that does not say 'GIFT CARD' all over it.

1)If your just using them for Evolve, why not buy Vanilla's at CVS or Walgreens for 4.95?

2)GCM has $2 EXTRA shipping charge for security, that is in addition to the standard shipping charge. Your total will be more than 5.95.

Any place to get cashback on GCM purchases? I am hoping for a Yes, but wouldn't be surprised if it is NO :)

Coz I cant buy Vanilla's using CC, only cash here.

Why will it be more than 5.95? Shouldn't it be 3.95 (purchase fee) + 2 (shipping fee).

I believe that any new biller needs to accept some kind of MC processor agreement. When you submit a request to add a biller, they pass it along to the MC folks, who in turn contact the biller to see if they want to be a part of the network. I don't know if it costs them anything or not - it might.

Contrast this with BB's bill pay, which is check based so you can pay anyone.

Use Evolve for what you can, then use Serve/BB for the rest.
