Evolve Money – Online billpay service

Pay bills from Evolve’s list of payees, including mortgage, utilities, insurance and “store” credit card, e.g., Macy’s, Gap, Walmart (but NOT regular credit cards or store co-branded CC, like a Walmart Discover or BR Visa).

If a particular biller is not listed, you can try emailing Evolve to add it. They seem to respond quite quickly to inquiries, and they will ask you to send a copy of your bill. Some people have had success in seeing their billers added. The billers need to agree to be a part of some kind of Mastercard processing consortium, which may or may not work for you billers.

Daily dollar limits include:

$2,999.00 in payments, of which up to $999.00 may be funded by cash load packs
Individual bill pay dollar limits include:

$2,999.00 for a single bill funded by a debit card and/or credit card
$999.00 for a single bill funded by a cash load pack
Note: You cannot make more than $10,000 worth of payments per month for credit, debit, and cash load packs.

Monthly payment limits include:

4 payments per month per biller account number using a credit or debit card within the dollar limits listed above.
Unlimited number of payments per month per biller account number using a cash load pack within the dollar limits listed above.

Check with your bank whether they accept partial payments and payments made over a couple of days. (Paying over weekend might arrive on same day.) You will also want to be in touch with your bank the first month you do this to make sure that the payments don't automatically apply to principal, or that your automatic payment (if you have one) doesn't ALSO get taken out. Don't assume that your bank will handle everything perfectly without your involvement, and - especially the first month - make sure you have all payments in with a few days to spare at least so that they can sort it out without also having to worry that the payment will be late.

You can pay bills for no fee with REloadIt packs that can be purchased, Evolve Money credits and with a debit card from "major banks". There are reports that US Bank issued MGCs work fee free as well. Each card counts as one payment toward the four payment limit.

For a 3% fee you can pay with a Visa, MC and Discover CCs.

In the past there was a glitch and certain CCs did work. But after this was publicized, the glitch was closed.

How
Sign up.
Add new bill.
Then pay with a ReLoadit packs, debit, prepaid(?) or Gift Card(?).

Anybody here paid their Wells Fargo mortgage using Evolve? How would I pay my mortgage if mortgage amount is ~$1800 and I pay $300 extra per month for a total payment of $2100 per month?

I am seriously getting into this Evolve thing :)

Use $500 cards for 2K and pay the rest your usual way - bank draft, check... Especially prepaying principal can come randomly to the bank and be credited correctly.

These cards can.  Some WMs are giving people a hard time, but loading these 'debit cards' onto BB is within WM policy.
source please?

Thanks, will try. Now, buy $200 GC at Staples using Ink or order $500 from GCM..that is a question.

I need to check how many miles I have earned this year for SW companion pass, and then plan my strategy accordingly.

Thanks guys, you guys are awesome. I was bit scared when I posted these questions (difficult for a noob, but easy for experts), and I have seen how FT folks hate to answer noob questions at FT. People forget that they were noob too at one point, and if you can't answer the question, why even bother posting, trying to rub it in..I just dont get it.

I was under the impression that almost all (not vanilla) debit cards work at BB.  I realize that when I was there recently, I didn't load any I bought at GCM.  I loaded Staples and supermarket acquisitions.  My large metabank gc, I held onto to use easily the next visit, but I never got there. So I can't testify personally.

correct that they work. i would not take that to mean "within WM policy".

As someone else alluded to, you will want to look into every (legal) angle to reduce your costs and increase your points/miles.

Oh, ok thanks. I was thinking that I can buy let's say 10 $200 cards. Balance will be 2000, and then I can do 2-3 payments (per month). So, is it like I add the money, and then immediately have to send it, or I can keep adding money to account, and then send one payment using all the funds in my account?

Oh ok, then it makes my decision much easier, no more Chase Ink then.

One more question for now:

Let's say my PGE bill is 50, and I have $500 Visa Debit card. I pay by PGE bill, then what happens to the remaining 450 bucks? Do I need to pay another bill immediately?

check the last piece of the wiki:  Put in amount to be paid to payee.  click pay.  debit card. input info.  they take the funds - however much you just said- out of the card.

Can we use Vanilla Visa Debit cards (please see photo) with Evolve? I checked at my local CVS, I just asked them for the top row one (black color) and they allow it to be purchased with CC.

Also, can this one be used with BB also?

TIA.
