I don't think so. Normally in a situation like this, if the product isn't so great but the sharks kinda like it, if they give an offer and the person tries to counter the sharks would say something like "because you asked them then I don't feel confident in you and I'm taking away the offer, and for that reason I'm out." In the bike guys case, it seemed that Robert really really wanted this guy to say yes to him. Which is why he gave him that crazy offer. Which means it really was a good product. So he asked the other sharks to weigh in to see if he can get a better offer.....at least in my opinion. Marc Cubans response was totally unnecessary!!!!

I think so. I mean this guy wasnt a bozo so he was thinking things over. But Mark Cuban's response was totally uncalled for. WOW. I was shocked. But the guy handled himself well.

What shocked me more was that Robert didnt pull out. Usually if a person doesnt give him an answer on the spot he gets all insulted.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to see all the options on the table, even if the current one (Robert's) is very generous. He knew he had a great product, and just wanted to see all the offers.
My only question was why he was asking so low to start with...

Probably because the sharks most common complaint is that people overvalue their business. He seemed like he was playing it safe.

Marks response was very surprising to me.

If he knew his business was worth far more, it seems pretty stupid to start so low. He could have played it safe and still asked significantly more. What would he have done it he only would have been offered what he asked? Say no??

Na... the sharks always complain about a persons valuation. Even if someone asses it for sales and a half (which is normal) they start complaining about salaries and other shtoyiot.

They always find something to complain about. In one episode they bashed someone for insisting he wanted to keep manufacturing in America and the next episode they praised someone for being patriotic. They shift their moods randomly.

Every second or third episode, they're back to wearing the same outfits. Abc should recognize this and have them change clothes even on the same day of shooting! (I think it's an abc show)

I read somewhere they wear the same outfits for weeks of shooting because they mix and match the pitches from different days in the episodes.
