Fun fact:

I have it on good authority that a well known jewish philanthropist was invited onto the show but declined due to the organizations he's involved with

I totally and completely fail to see why Gloving was such a big deal...

point is. I can't stand watching it and yet its an olympic sport. this guy went out, had a product and created a whole sport around it with numbers to show that people are into it. so while I may not be into it I can understand how there could be a market for it.

oh and cooler than ice skating imo.

How is it a sport? It's dancing with flashing lit-up gloves! I've seen dances done like that with glow in the dark paint... cool idea... But not a whole new sport.

that was my question about ice skating. it comes down to if you find dancing a sport or not.

Whether it's a sport or not is not really relevant... It's an activity, performance, exercise or whatever that has been around for years and has a huge following.

Gloving, I see as a trendy accessory for dancing- how is it different than a glow-stick?

he was smart enough to turn it into a competition and generate millions(i think, don't remember exactly) in sales.

glowstick probably made some people very rich at one point. but this is for sure cooler and more customizable(albeit more expensive.)
