It's not all about accumulations of snow. It's ripping sleet in Brooklyn. Heavier than I've ever seen in my life. It's also accumulating.

How short has you life been to date? :P

While it's definitely not a pleasant situation, it was way overblown (pun intended). I even moved my car this morning from an on street spot, and came back 40 minutes later to find that exact same spot available (even though it's an excellent spot that will not be blocked, and someone pulled into it as I pulled out this morning!)
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Definitely not a bust in monsey

THE NAM had the right solution with mixing to sleet going further west. Seeing 16 inches being reported in Orange County. Monsey probably didn't really mix yet either. They should be around a foot already.

Cuomo: the storm in NYC area not as bad as anticipated, problem is it's worse than anticipated in other areas of the state #blizzard2017

Driving in Brooklyn was a pleasure this morning. Maybe it should snow every day. It does wonders for the traffic.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

No way the heaviest sleet. Remember the v day storm a few years ago which brought jetblue to its' knees?
