Best App to use to make US calls from outside US

Just curious what Apps people use to make US calls outside the US.  I will be traveling overseas next week and will want to make calls to US using iPhone/Ipad.  The only App i know of is Skype….

I use gmail.com don't know if that works from iPhone though.

I started using Rebtel. it's a pain to set up, but after that it seems to have cheap rates.

Talkatone.
Used it to call America from my iPad while in Israel and Europe.
It's set up to call using Google Voice account.
