I got stuck in the NY snow trying to get onto the highway. Random guy in a yarmulka pulls over in his SUV and spends 30minutes trying to help me get out. In the end he physically pushes my car with me until I get out. All this in the freezing rain.
Meanwhile as I struggle to get my car back into my driveway, all my non-Jewish neighbors just watch. I'm not saying there are no nice gentiles out there.

I got stuck in the snow the other day and a homeless guy and a chabad guy stopped to help. Pushed me out after quite a struggle. Always a nice feeling when strangers stop to help.

Reminds me of the Snow storm this year in Jerusalem. I was walking around during it and after it and I saw the same groups of people and just other random people helping out everyone who needed help. They went from car to car with a person in it and helped get them out. Didn't matter if it was a simple 1 minute job or a hard 10 minute job, they were there until they got the car out.

I ran out of gas on the FDR and a bearded fellow ( ) with lights stops behind me for 25 minutes to keep me safe (with his lights) until my friend came by with a canister

knew someone was going to say that! I never prepay for gas and this time it was not a rental + I wouldn't have done it if I didn't have my friend nearby for backup

I got stuck in a parking spot  on Tuesday and after 20 min of trying a frum man stopped and helped me for 20 min till I was out.
My portable shovel snapped and I was using a hammer to chip away at a mound of ice.
I now have prepared myself for the future by keeping 2 pieces of carpet in my car, for traction.

During the snow storm in Jerusalem I just walked to my car and had like 10 guys pushing me out. I want even stuck

Several years ago coming back from a date in the rain at 1:00 AM I hydroplaned in my dinky rented prius entering the GSP off the 440. My front wheel hit the curb and severely misaligned the tires. I pulled to the side to inspect the damage. Within what felt like 30 seconds, a car full of frum guys pulled over to help me out. They had one of them get in the car with me and the others followed behind me as I crawled down the parkway back home.

Yes, mi k'amch Yisrael.  This is what to think about whenever someone makes a negative comment about frum communities. There isn't a safer place to live than a community with Hatzaloh, Shomrim, Chaveirim etc.
