I believe the promotion of earning 1,000 points for being referred is over. If you need an account just sign up on your own.

They said that the accounts I referred were matched to the same address, so they weren't eligible for the promotion.

When I started pushing, they asked for employee W2's of all the businesses that were referred...

Just noticed this thread- not sure what this promo was but few yes ago I opened buiz extra account because of 5k advantage promo. Turned out some company mistakenly used my number for 6 month on about 50k$ worth of flights. Leaving me with a cool 6k buiz extra points- enough for rntrp flights for me & wife from nyc to Hawaiia

Crap! Just saw 2.5k expire in 2 days! Have no idea dates I willl be able to travel- Is there anyway to extend points or switch travel plans if I book now?

You can redeem for a voucher which then has to be booked within one year for travel within a year from then.

For example, if you redeem for a BX1A on 12/30/14 then the BX1A will expire on 12/30/15. The ticket has to be issued by 12/30/15 for travel by 12/30/16.

They do charge some $100+ change fees once ticketed.

Also this is prob not right thread for it but it seems tickets to hawiaa on aa saver awards r extremely hard to come by-is that true? Is there certain islands or cities on 48 that have better availability? Totally don't expect u to know just thinking out loud trying to figure which award I would want.. Can u change what type of award u want once u pick one b4 u ticket it for a fee?

I don't know about upgrading an award but I do know you can downgrade. If you redeem for a BX3A you can have them downgrade to a BX1A so you can use it for a domestic flight.
