Help!!! AA charging me $750 fee to cancel refundable ticket....

I booked a refundable ticket...
They are charging me $750 to cancel...
I spoke to supervisors and everything they say no way to waive it...

IME, if it is within a couple of days of booking the ticket, you should be able to find a rep who will work it out.

Always have to read the fare rules.
So many people get messed over thinking they're so smart doing this stuff...

Tip: Whenever booking refundable fare, call within 24 hours and double check with agent that it is completely refundable.

From past experience when canceling online it takes forever to process and when calling in they process it right away so thats what I did...

Do yourself a favor and try to do it online.

The reverse is true.
The exception is when you get a message that the details of the ticket are not yet on the system, in which case it will be quicker to call than to do online.

Try it.
The website will provide all info including refund amount before you confirm the refund.

Try asking them to switch it to a completely refundable ticket without mentioning cancellation. Then when they've upgraded it (may cost more, but it's fully refundable), hang up and call back to cancel. Worked for me once.

I don't know why this happened to you but I bought on AA a refundable ticket to London on BA metal and canceled it by phone. While it took forever to get the refund l did get back 100%.

Fare rules are only clickable at time of purchase.
A fare can be refundable but with a penalty due.

Are there any Airlines which offer fully refundable tickets?
