1. They don't actually eat the mice, but they do kill them.
2. Once there's a cat in the house the mice will pretty much leave on their own, they don't like houses with cats.

and I have 2 cats always sitting behind my garbage cans, always jumping out at me whenever i take the garbage out

Do you have a son? Does @churnbabychurn have a daughter? Marry them and give them the cat and mice.

I guess I need to explain the lubavitcher rebbe was against showing little children even pictures of nonkosher animals. So for 'some' its problematic

He was against making them into cute playthings like Mickey Mouse and a teddy bear and monkeys on pijamas. He wasn't against seeing real live traif animals.
