Would we get first bag free when redeeming Velocity points on Delta, if we have the Delta Amex Gold or Platinum?

Yes, if you put your DL FFN in.

You’ll need an address in a country like Australia to setup your account.

Here's some of the airports that are under 600 miles from NYC which is just 5500 SPG, if you get the 25% bonus.  Or 8320 premium economy, 11040 business and 16560 first. Not as good as BA, but they fly to places AA/US don't, and it's also useful for when theirs no availability left or the times/airport aren't convenient. Add more if there's any missing.

Has anyone tried faking an address though? Would be pretty useless if not.

Please explain what you're writing. I'm new to VA and don't know what you mean by faking an address. Also are these redeemable on DL? Can it be done online, phone. Please share. Thanks

I've tried to book DL saver CLE-NYC twice and struck out both times.
Anyone actually book a DL flight?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Didn't know that first is only 2x. So that would even make 600-1200 on first a nice sweet spot too.

(Assuming AA/US doesn't fly there or LH doesn't give it to you for 17k.)

And BTW, I cheated, all I did was search on ITA for any airport within 500 miles. So it took only 5 min, but  it's missing everything from 500-600 miles, which is prob the best values.

They say they don't see it?

Maybe try calling during the day?  ;)

Wow, from DDMS:

February 26th, 2014 at 9:48 am

@Dan:
I tried calling Virgin Australia to see about booking a Delta flight. I gave an exact flight that I saw as available at the lowest mileage level on delta.com, but the agent said there was no availability using Velocity miles. I then had him check the entire month and month after, and he couldn’t find me a single flight that had award seat availability, even though on delta.com there was availability on that route every single day that month. He eventually checked 4 months’ worth of flights, and couldn’t find one single seat. He said that that the inventory Virgin Australia gets is different than what Delta releases to their own members or even to other partner airlines. This doesn’t seem like it could be true, but I did HUCA 3 times with the same result. Anyone have success actually finding or booking a Delta seat using Velocity points? Ideas?

Just spoke to Angelina from Velocity and she was able to see flight 409 in J on Aug 26. She wanted 21800 miles. She did not allow me to hold the flight though... Cancellation/Change is $60 Has to be <24 hours

Though they couldn't find a single VS flight even it was available on Delta.com

They charge heavy YQ on DL.
