Best auto loan?
« on: February 19, 2014, 03:59:20 PM »
Looking for the best option for a refinance auto loan (cash out a lien-free vehicle).  Preferably 60 months, or even 72 if I can get the same rate.

So far I have PenFed at 1.99% for 60 months.
Alliant FCU for 1.75% for 60 months + they give you $100 (they'll do that rate for 72 months if the vehicle is within the past 3 model years.)

Any other good options?

Where is the best place to apply for an auto loan? Used through a dealer. Lendingtree? Lightstream? Thanks

Thanks. Are their rates better than say Ally, Lightstream.....? I think the rates I was getting (when I put in basic info in Lending Tree) were in the 3.2-3.4 range+-
I can't go with PNC (lost an investment property many years ago, they held 2nd place lien). It's off my credit for many years but my social hasn't changed  ;), I assume it won't work thru them.

The last I heard, there is an online bank Lightstream with good rates.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

It's not. It's a division of Truist Bank, which came from the merger of SunTrust and BB&T.
Failing at maintaining Lurker status.
