From BestBuy's website:
Note: A materials fee of $5 will be assessed at the time of installation. Other additional charges for vehicle-specific parts and additional labor may apply. These parts typically cost $10-$300 but will vary depending on your specific vehicle and the alarm, remote start and keyless entry system you are having installed. See Geek Squad installation product detail page, or contact your Best Buy store for full details.

Basically, there's a chip in the key of most cars that's needed to start, so they would have to install a bypass module  (I'm pretty sure it's around $125) or they place a spare (or valet) key in a box near the engine block

you can buy the bypass yourself for $60 on ebay thats where these free instalation places get you, then again they will never install your bypass, so either way its gonna cost you

You prob don’t want to go cheap on this. It’s practically doing surgery on your car software and worth paying for an expert. IMHO

Not sure. It all depends on the technician you get which you don’t choose... they can have anywhere from 15 years to 15 days experience. Good luck!
