Avis Vs. National

Avis Preferred Vs. National Emerald Club.

Anyone have any suggestions. or pros and cons of either one? Who has better cars?

I have a free weekend day with national so I would save $65. Anyone knwo anything about national in LGA, are they nice etc. Im over 25 so dont need to worry about that, and im part of emerald club and Avis Preferred.

Well not that i have experienced both. and will prob never get the top tiered status with avis. But bec i am a plat card member i got Executive  with national, i rented in lga was able to use a coupon for a free weekend day. and rented a full size suv for under $90 for the weekend.

would have gotten the same if not a lesser value car for almost double the price with Avis.

For now I have enjoyed the select your own car with national executive aisle.

avis is easier in regards to coupons also there cars tend to be not as stripped
national has an easier process to getting the car also they give you more options as to which car you get also if you look on line you can get a contract id that includes "ldw".

for this particular rental bec it was in NY avis would not accept the coupon i had, therefore national rent a car of the company of choice, im not vouching for them based on this one rental but im letting everyone know my experience.
