Weird SPG redemption

Hey everyone,

I made a starwoods reservation and the points were taken from my account. I tried calling to modify the reservation and found the points back in my account. Has this happened to anyone? Will the points be taken from my account when I actually stay at the property?

Maybe it just didn't update yet. Did you log out and then login again? Are you looking at your account on a mobile device? It can take some time for that to refresh. Just a thought.

I booked an SPG room on points and upgraded to a larger room for $90 a night. Was never charged.

So you booked online the paid the $90 a night at the hotel and weren't charged by the hotel?
