Make sure to have someone who knows have a look before buying. I liked Rami at ofnei hapisga on Yirmiyahu. Hes expensive, but very thorough.

Israelis need a motorcycle licence Americans im not sure but I seem to remember that you need one just that if they catch you you can say that you thought that since in America you're allowed to drive one if you have a car liecence so also in Israel, remember that with an American liecence a ordinary cop in Israel is not allowed to do anything to you only a katzin (don't know what's the translation for it but it's higher up) is allowed and he has to call him out of his office which they don't usually do.
Again this is what I remember from 2 years ago could be it changed and could be in wrong so don't take my word for it check it out

How long ago was this?
I've been pulled over a few times in Israel (not on a bike) about 2 years ago, they didn't do anything after making believe that I only speak English. But I have heard that many things have changed and that they really stayed cracking down.

at the end of the day it depends on the cop I know someone that the cop that stopped him decided to crack down on him so he called up his supervisor to come to give the ticket and the supervisor said there is no way he is coming down just to give a tourist a ticket so it all gets down to how lazy the cop and the supervisor are
