Was discussed upthread at length. There are ups and downs to it. IIRC it's possible to lick both flavors of the ice cream, which gives you the best bang for the buck.

My specific question was about benefits for non prime accounts? The disscusion upthread and as well as the thread linked there are possible cons... however what ice cream (and no, i dont mean the flavors )  you are licking is not discussed,

A few questions related to the strictness of amazon to customers that are abusing their system:

1) how many return do they allow per account before closing it? Does it work on percentage or just a set amount? Per year or per account?

2) calling in about every order that was delayed after their promised delivery day to get another month of prime. Do they close accounts for it?

3) ordering add-on items with the PG25GM (or something like that...), will that do anything about it?

4) I'm on a grandfathered shared prime account, so I get only %5 off for pampers. Paying prime accounts currently get %20 off pampers. Will they do anything if I order pampers from the paying prime account with the same CC & address as the second amazon acct?

5) constantly ordering price mistakes?

Don't think there's a magic number to any of those. If that's all you do with that account eventually it'll get shut down.

A bit random: I ordered something from Amazon, and it came two days later, but it never updated to shipped. They email me every day apologizing for the delay, and say that it will ship soon and they give me a new ship and arrival day. Do you think I'm getting another one or will it just randomly one day update to delivered?
Update: I got shipping confirmation today, and it says arriving July 13. When I track it in my account it now says delivered on July 13. Oh well.

i just returned something to amazon and they refunded me on the spot and it said theres no need to return the item. problem is the cc i used doesnt exist anymore. what should i do? will they realize if i dont call?

They can credit a card many months, maybe even years after its closed.

It means it's not worth it for them to ship it back; but they'll still refund you.

Interesting, because I've been told that in chat, or on the phone, but never seen it automatically when returning an item online.

Have had it automatic a few times (With legit returns)... Don't abuse it though because they will shut you down..

Was a subscribe and save item (a food item)which I tried to cancel but didn't allow so as soon as it shipped I requested a return it was for 4-5$.
