They offered me a promotional credit for a bit less than half. I accepted.

Anyone know how to stack pre-paid gift cards in Amazon (or really in any retailer site)? I.e I have Visa/MC cards with $200 on them purchased in Staples or OD etc.... If I want to make a purchase that exceeds $200 how would I do that? Thanks

It depends on the retailer, Amazon does not permit it.

Thanks. I was wondering because at times when Dan has posted deals on GC's, I think he had mentioned that they can be stacked in Amazon etc. I haven't noticed him saying that recently but I believe he did awhile back.

Generally speaking what I've found is most online stores don't allow it. (With the exception of dell)

Simple @Dovdovmoneytree
Use each one separately to reload your Amazon balance with the full amount on each GC.
Then checkout using your amazon gift card balance.

I don't have an Amazon credit card. Do you mean I should buy an Amazon GC and that can then be reloaded in any manner (with my pre-paid GC's)? Thanks

yes . just dont need to buy an actual amazon GC . you can reload your balance here

when i print my order report on amazon is there any way of telling how much of a order was paid with a gift card and how much was charged to the credit card(all i see is Gift Certificate/Card and American Express - xxxx)?

does it have anything to do with the fact that sometimes it says "Gift Certificate/Card and American Express - xxxx" and some times "American Express - xxxx and Gift Certificate/Card" ? (and if not does anybody knews what it means?)

Under your order total, it should say how much was paid via Gift card

Perhaps because your American Express account is linked to your Amazon account?
