I also froze IDA via non certified snail mail.
Still got rejected due to the pulls on the one report they pulled (ARS/IDA lets them see all 3 reports) but was approved after some rough and tumble recon.

Most have too many pulls and will be denied.

Yea, I don't understand why all the issuers don't do the same thing. Seems to be important to get a full picture of a person's credit history.

Problem is that when you call U.S. Bank reconsideration, they won't approve on the spot like Chase/BofA/AmEx. My application is in pending status and even when I call, they say at least 3 business days, which will be Monday.
