Where to credit Star Alliance miles
« on: February 26, 2014, 09:54:49 AM »
I have an upcoming Star Alliance  flight which is my first since a United's devaluation. For international awards what are my top two choices to credit the miles to?

Aegean, for *A Gold. Avianca, never charging YQ. ANA if you plan on using them soon for UA - they have a dream award chart + allowing 4 stopovers.

SQ or AC would be your best bet, but there's no one answer.

LM would be much better, but it's hard to accumulate so you might be stuck with 10k-20k.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

I realize that. Many different factors fall into place and it also depends on the person and what they're looking for specifically when booking an award flight.

They have their new CC with US Bank. Also you can always buy points for about 1.6 once you have 40% of the miles needed for your trip, (otherwise its 3 CPM) so having 10-20k is usually 40% of the miles needed ;)
