Faster, but eats more gas.

i have a 2005 Camry and its a V4. I have 178,000 miles on it so I have driven it all over the place including Canada. Good mileage and no problem with speed.

IME it's not a speed thing but rather a pickup difference. V6 allows you get those bursts of speed you need, especially in NYC.

Its all a matter of opinion...in the long run a V4 is waaay cheaper on gas and insurance. So the price you buy it for in addition to gas and insurance can be a huge difference in what you get.

Thanks.

The dealer said it's only a 1 MPG difference between the V4 and V6
Even though it says 4 MPG

Just thought that I would point out that the 4 cylinder engine is not V4 but rather an inline 4. Has to do we the configuration of the cylinders.
