I've done 2 nights in MLE before. Take what you can get.

Yup agree. Let's first see travel restrictions ease somewhat and then I'll see if/where/when/what. So far I'm staying put.

The helicopter transfer here says over 800 EUR one way which I'm assuming is per person. That puts the seaplane or yacht transfer to STR or WA MLE to shame. That's a big reason why I would feel it warrants more than just 2 nights.

Just curious, why Labriz over Northolme?
Northolme only accept kids 13+ so it's not relevant for me.

Also Labriz is an all-villa private island. I read that Diamond automatically get upgraded to beachfront villa on basic redemptions. I like the fact that it's secluded, yet lots of hikes in the nature on the island. And another DDFer confirmed to me that they are accommodative with regards to storing / warming up kosher food

You guys are referring to North Island?

Yes, which you had mentioned as the only Marriott property in SEZ.

Thanks good to know.

If you go just as a couple would you still rather go to Labriz?

I didn't read enough about Northolme, but from what I remember they don't really have a beach, and Labriz has a huge one.

Honestly if I managed to find someone to watch my kids back home, I'd go straight to MLE, not SEZ :-)

Ok, thanks for clarifying that. Still not totally convinced on going for just 2 nights schlepping from the USA. I guess an option would be to stay here for 2 nights and then somewhere else more reasonable like one of the Hiltons for another couple of nights.

Depends on the type of villas.
Small in cheaper rooms, large in the more expensive ones.
You can negotiate an advanced upgrade to a deluxe villa which has a large private pool. I don't know how much they are going for but can't be much imho

Doesn't look like the base room has a pool. Any idea what the upgrade costs would be?

Landing in Seychelles in few hours.

Bringing in a suitcase of prepared meals from pomegranate, on landing card am I bringing any product from animal… is it better to declare or not?

They seem very strict in general… best to come clean? Any experience?
