United check in Error

I am trying to check in for my UA84 flight scheduled tomorrow, and I am getting the following message

Thank you for checking in at united.com.
Please note that we are unable to provide boarding documents for travelers in this reservation. Please go to an airport check-in kiosk or see a United representative at the airport to receive boarding documents for these travelers:


Main problem is that I requested a upgrade today (35k miles plus $600) and I don't see my name on the upgrade list.

Please help!

When you check the reservation does it show R class requested or cleared? What class does it show?

This it all it says. I didn't do Plan B, I wanna upgrade a paid ticket.

UA.com won't check you in for an intl flight online if you haven't swiped your passport within the past X months with them.
Go to the airport if you want higher priority.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I swiped my Passport on my way from TLV 2 weeks ago.

I don't think there are too many people interested is paying 35K+$600 for a one-way upgrade.
Much better off doing plan B.

Would there only be Saver award in coach for my dates.

I wasn't talking about my case, but in general what are GPU's how do I redeem them, all options on how to upgrade domestically and internationally, how does it work etc....

And finally how to get UA lifetime 1K status ;)

Yes, it is.

For an international flight, you can't get a BP online unless they "know" you, as Dan explained. That being said, that data is stored on your MileagePlus profile. If you use a different mileage number than the last time you flew, and/or a non-UA number (or no mileage number at all), then the system has no way of knowing that you've been there before, so the website will not give you a printable BP.
