Delta controversy.

FT thread.

What are your thoughts?

Men, if you could breastfeed, how would you go about it? I assume most of you have already put a lot of thought into this question.

Been there done that. It is called a bottle.

For those that feel it is OK to BF in public does it matter how old the child is?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Some babies either pull a cover off or don't eat as well with a cover on. It probably has a lot to do with what they are used to. It would be ridiculous IMO to not allow someone to breastfeed on a plane regardless of how they do it. However, it is also ridiculous of the mom to make a big deal out of it. Go to the flight, talk to the FA and make sure that a comfortable situation can be arranged. Make sure the person seated next to her is OK with it. She can BF in the back galley, in the bathroom, if she has someone traveling with her, they can hold the blanket as a shield. It's not that complicated on either side.

If it bothers someone so much then don't look. I don't get it. You can't deny an infant food because some dude has issues.

Most Frum women would probably feel uncomfortable breastfeeding uncovered in public. Shouldn't be a problem to cover up, if the baby doesn't like it then you could probably arrange to do it in the galley or something.

You can bring any liquid you want as long as it's labeled 'breast milk' :P
We were even allowed to bring bottled water because we needed it to prepare formula.

These have a stiff top making it so that the mother can see in while still being covered.

You can't just magically get an exclusively breastfed kid to start taking a bottle. Doesn't work like that.

And Rafi would never eat under a cover as an infant.

if she has someone traveling with her, they can hold the blanket as a shield.
Yup.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

On that note, never exclusively breast feed a kid. give em a bottle from day one.
