Upgrading the Amex Everyday card to the preferred requires a pull?
Upgrading from green to platinum didn't pull credit. I would assume the same would apply for everyday.

Yes. I got an email that I should respond with the cc number and billing address, which I did, and by the next morning my account was back open, albeit with all my stored credit cards deleted.

I HUCA'd and spoke to someone who sounded more knowledgable. He said that until Jan. 2014 it went according to the "family", but since then, it goes according to the card. So you're right! ;)
