I have an Amex Delta that I manage, and annual fee is up. What should I downgrade to? It seems the two no-fee cards are Everyday (non-preferred), blue cash. I think I would rather have MR points than cash back.

Biggest question is whether getting the regular card will cause problems for getting the Preferred version bonus some time in the furure?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Why would it cause a problem with getting the bonus? It's two different products.

For a first card should I go for a Everyday card or Freedom Unlimited? All I have now is a card from my bank.

always go for chase cards first as once you go over 5/24 chase won't give you most of their cards. Once you are over 5/24 the. You can start with Amex
