Islip Airport Parking (On or off site)

Hi,

Anyone have any advice on parking at ISP? Flying tomorrow and want to park my car as cheap and convenient as possible near the airport....

make a booking with global parking. They use the clarion hotel lot. Super Close & very convenient.

Just make sure your return isn't too close to midnight because that is when their shuttle stops running.

I has a flight that was schedules to arrive at 11:25pm. Flight was a little delayed leaving BWI and I got in the shuttle at 11:55pm.

Also if you aren't going for too long it may not make sense. It's minimum 15 min round trip (to clarion and back) and the beauty of ISP is that it is so easy and stress free.

Had an early morning flight today. I stayed the night at the Hyatt Regency Long Island on a C&P stay. 8k and $55 for the night. I noticed the hotel offers a free shuttle to ISP, but not sure how it would work if you wanted to leave your car there. It was a ~10-15 minute drive to the Clarion hotel and was parked and on the shuttle in 5 minutes. Very easy process.

Spoke to Clarion. Sounds like that's the best bet. Hilton garden inn told me that they don't offer a parking rate but that she didn't think I would be towed. And that there is a shuttle for hotel guests only.

Not worth the risk- so going to Clarion.

Not sure what the previous comment or meant... This summer I used the Global Parking with Clarion hotel (Thanks to this thread) it was literally around the corner, a three minute drive. The airport itself is very small it takes you a few minutes door to door.

I went with my wife an 2 kids so rather than schlepping everyone in the shuttle, we did curbside check-in, and then my wife and kids hung out in the airport while I dropped off the car at clarion and then took the shuttle back.

It was 15 minutes from leaving ISP to clarion until I got back. Compared to the on-site parking which is 1 minute.

Oh, but I don't think your "schlepping" situation applies to everyone. See MP's review from today. Doesn't seem like a bad drive at all.

Not a parking question but just related to ISP. Have a one way flight booked out of LGA in a few weeks for me and a few others. The cheapest return ticket for the date we need is with Southwest to ISP. With flight arriving at 11:05pm, it is too late to catch the 11:18 LIRR to Atlantic Avenue I think. So we can either wait till 12:45 (hour and half later) and go to Penn Station and from there to Brooklyn. Or take a cab from Islip airport straight to Brooklyn, how much would a cab go for?

I arranged a car service from Brooklyn to come pick me up from ISP (not that late though-7:00 pm) and prices quoted were $120-$150.
