Looking to take over a car lease. I prefer Toyota or Honda Van. Or a SUV, which doesn't need to be Honda or Toyota. Needs plenty of miles remaining

Was hoping one of you could help me with this.

I want to buy my friends car once his lease is over in June.  He only put 13K miles on the car, so the residual value makes it worth it for me.

I don't want to pay taxes on the car twice - so if I can somehow buy it without two title transfers, it'd be ideal.

Thanks,
cks

People could list their expiring leases to see if they can find a buyer. If the vehicle is low miles it might be worth someone paying a premium to the lessee
