i understand but is there such a thing as them sending a check for reimbursement? or they just won't charge you when you return?

I’ll happily take over anyone’s lease that they’re looking to get out of. Any make or model.

I'm also looking to take over a lease, I'm extremely flexible on make /model. Brooklyn based, but willing to take over a lease within a couple hours drive.

I was offered to take over a lease, I'm trying to figure out the process of that as well as possibly figure out how to buy it out. I'm located in New Jersey and the car is leased in NY if that makes a difference.
How do I figure out the buyout today, which is currently a year before the lease is up.
What fees are involved? Taxes?
Who would I contact to take care of it for me?

Depends on the bank. Some allow interstate transfers some do not. Some allow transfers with less than a year left, some do not. The buyout would be on the original lessees lease agreement. There are application and transfer fees involved. Taxes also depend on the bank.

Thanks, there's just over a year left on the lease.
I guess calling the company they'd be able to give me most of that info.
Is it possible to do an early buyout or needs to be done at the end if the lease.
Someone mentioned something about needing a dealership of some sort being involved. Sounds like I can just do it directly with the bank and then register it myself at the DMV

Again, depends on the bank. You can buy it out early but if they need any sort of financing it has to be done thru a dealership.

If taking over a lease, if the original lessee paid for an additional damage waiver warrantee, does that get transferred as well?

Is there a way to make the sure the original lessee is responsible for damages that were already made prior to the transfer?

No official way to make sure the original lessee is responsible. Damage waiver should carry over but I'm not 100% sure about that

Did you check what Algo, Vroom, and Carvana are offering? You can probably make money on it.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.
