I use the ekobrew K-cup that they sell on Amazon for $13.87 It works much better than the My-K-Cup that Keurig sells, and works pretty well to fill your own coffee.  WOrks out to much less than the price of K-Cups no matter how cheaply you buy them (especially when you buy the ground coffee on sale).  Just have to experiment with the grind you use.  Starbucks pre-ground seems to work well.  If you have a grinder, #7 seems to work well.  Too coarse and the coffee is water, too fine and too much water gets stuck in the grinds.

I think the whole point of the machine is the "lift, place, push, push"

I have a my-k cup I'll use occasionally.

If you're just going by price, staples is a great way to go with their coupon. Bed, Bath, and beyond has the 20% off coupon, any other store like that will have the same.

If you live around a publix they have most 12 packs of k-cups for 6.29 now. There was a coupon in the Sunday paper a few weeks ago for 1.50 off two. It comes out to about .47 a piece and it's the good stuff (Donut Shop; Newman's Own Bold);

I've gotten them for .35 a piece before but it was Folgers. Tasted terrible.

I was recently in a Home Goods and saw k cups for $8 for an 18 pack.  I dont know if there are coupons out there for Home Goods but if so that can become a really good deal.  Without coupons its still pretty good.

Staples with the $25 coupon is your best bet. Even if you don't want 6 boxes to get you to the $75 threshold required to use the coupon, I'm sure you can find something else at Staples that you need. And shipping is always free, unlike most of the kCup sites.

Just make sure you click on the boxes of 24. I just got 144 KCups for $54.93 (including the $1.99 I spent on the coupon) = 38 cents a piece. They have all the good companies too.

If you go to www.keurig.com and register your brewer you can buy 2 boxes and get 2 free +10% off + free shipping. I just ordered 4 boxes of 24 k-cups each and it came to a total of $29.68 = .31 cents per k-cup

I have registered my same brewer about 5 times now :) I just change a few digits of the serial number each time.

it doesn't check if the serial number is valid?

So if I buy one and try to register it and get an error that my serial number was already registered, I'll know why...

it doesn't check if the serial number is valid?

Based on dvol's report it seems they (possibly?) do check and serial numbers are (possibly?) sequential.

thats what I was trying to figure out. If they don't confirm the serial number and he just uses his as a basis to see what a legit one looks like (in which case I might be willing to do that) or if he is using someone else's

They do not check if the serial number is valid as long as the format is correct.

Ostensibly he's using someone elses (or an unused one). The simple way to check would be to see if you can register the same one twice.

They do not check if the serial number is valid as long as the format is correct.

Then why not use the same one multiple times?

It won't let me register the same one twice, perhaps it wouldn't let me register the same fake one twice either.  It doesn't mean that they check if the serial number is valid, they just check if that number has ever been registered before.

buy 2 boxes and get 2 free +10% off + free shipping.

Registered the brewer and got the email with the 'buy 2 get two' offer -- where does the stackable 10% off come from?
